Observação de Ogren & Kawakatsu (1990): Note: The classification of Geoplana olivacea Schultze et Muller, 1857, is confused. C. G. Froehlich (1959, p. 236) wrote: "Here Graff lumped also at least two species, one represented by some fragments collected at Blumenau by G. W. Muller, the other (or others) by several specimens from Argentina and Chile. The fragments from Blumenau present a slender shape and the same colour pattern as Fr. Muller's, the difference in hue being probably due to the preservation. The specimens from the other localities are much broader and flatter, despite the similarity in colour pattern. These should be removed from G. olivacea, but as their status is obscure, it is better not to rename them as yet. The name G. olivacea must be restricted, therefore, to the fragments from Blumenau."
Since the separation of records of Geoplana olivacea (original species and von Graff's) is difficult, they are listed here under Amaga olivacea (Schultze et MUlier, 1857). [nec Geoplana olivacea in Busson (1903) and Fuhrmann (1914)J. See Amaga bussoni (Froehlich, 1959).
